See Cannabis in full bloom and the social activity surrounding it. Bhubhu pass connects Chuhar Valley to Lag Valley. The pass is not very high and is part of middle ranges at 3261m, the climb is therefore easy on the feet and not long. Bhang and historical importance aside, like any high point, the views are something to savour. The trek is a rejuvenating one, through a thick forest on one side and rocky terrain on the other.


Continue your walk across the Himri Pass from lagh Valley over to the Manali town. Cannabis cultivation, Apple Orchards and Birch Trees across Himri pass gives all the feel and thrill of the Dhauladhars. 


ITINERARY

Approach :

By Air – Nearest airport – Bhuntar

By Road – Delhi > Mandi > Jhatingri/Barot 


Reach Kasol one day prior to the day your trek starts.

Stay is prearranged. *


Spend the day by acclimatizing, Exploring or just relax. We’ll have an orientation meeting in the evening. Where you will meet with our Guide, Group leader and other members of group.


Drive next morning to the trailhead, Tikkan. Transportation is prearranged. *

Day 01

Silh Budhani (2010m)

The journey starts from Tikken. From Tikken, a short walk of 5 km takes you to Devgarh Village, where resides an ancient temple of Dev Pashakot, the theocratic King of the Chuhar Valley. There are certain rules and regulations that are followed strictly in these villages, so one must take utmost care while entering the temples or clicking photographs. From Devgarh, it’s a 5-6 km descent crossing another small viallge Dharmed, that takes you to Silh Budhani the last village of district Mandi. Silh Budhani is our first pit-stop for the day.


Day 02

Bhubhu Pass (2791m)

From Silh-Budhani, you enter into the world of Rhododendron Shrubs. The last leg of this journey is a vertical walk of two hours to the top of the pass and you have to negotiate a 500m stretch of steep slope. This pass offers a spectacular views of the Pir Panjals and the Dhauladhars. On a sunny day, you get to see the colossal beauty of the Deo Tibba (6,001m) and Indrasan (6,221m). Kadon is the first village in the Lagg Valley. In front of you lies a giant Mountain and the pathway to Manali over the Himri Pass.


Day 03

Gamrang (1900m)

From Kadon we descend and hike up to Gamrang. This is base for the trek next day.


Day 04

Himri Pass (3216m)  - Himri Village (2100m)

This day needs all your guts as the climb to Himri is steep and since it is not much used, the trail is overgrown with vegetation. From Himri a spectacular view of Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges is mesmerizing. A steep climb down takes you to the Himri Village. After a long day at work camp at Himri Village. Also you might get a local Homestay. Experience the Village hospitality.


Day 05

Himri Village (2100m)

After breakfast leave for either Manali or Kullu as per your travel plan.
