Chandrakhani Pass is a serene pass at low altitude of 3660m with fabulous views of the Deo Tibba peak, Pir Panjal and Parvati range of mountains.
We start the trek from Bijli Mahadev. Bijli Mahadev is one of the most sacred temples of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at an altitude of about 2,438 m in the Kullu Valley. This is temple of Lightning Shiva. It is believed that the priest of the temple has to restore the Shiva linga placed inside the temple using butter and sattoo after lightning shatters it to pieces.

Reach Touchbase one day prior to the day your trek starts.

Spend the day acclimatizing, Exploring or just relax. We’ll have an orientation meeting in the evening. Where you will meet with our Guide, Group leader and other members of group.
Drive next morning to the trailhead, Chansari. Transportation is prearranged. *
Day 01
Bijli Mahadev (2975m)
Drive to Chansari, which is 10km. from Kullu. From Chansari climb stairs to reach the Bijli Mahadev temple. It’s steep 3 km uphill climb. Spend the day in the meadows of Bijli Mahadev.
Day 02
Bheda Thach (3600m)
Trek to Bheda Thach through Kais wildlife sanctuary. Whole trek is covered with captivating flora-fauna. Have lunch at Kais Nallah.
Day 03
Chiklani (4350m)
The trek begins with a gradual ascent. Trek then breaks out to the alpine meadows at higher altitudes. Camp at Chiklani below the Chandrakhani Pass.
Day 04
Cross Chandrakhani Pass, Reach Malana (2730m)
Trek to Malana. which is steep descent. The village consists of around 1500 inhabitants and has an impeccable system of administration with a higher and lower court guided by the spirit of village god Jamlu. Malana stands out as an autonomous self-sufficient unit whose inhabitants claim Greek ancestry. This village is know worldwide is its architecture, language, worship rituals and autonomous administrative system and is a heaven for cannabis products. Kanashi, the language of malana, does not resemble any of the dialects spoken in its neighbourhood but seems to be a mixture of sanskrit and several tibetan and greek dialects.
Day 05
Cross Rasol Pass (3180m) to reach Rasol Village
Stupendous view of the Malana glacier and high alpine pastures to the east. Trek to the Rasol Pass and steep descend to Rasol Village for the night stay.
Day 06
Kasol
Trek 8 km for Chhalal Village, very popular with young Europeans. Final stretch is a delightful, two km. walk on right bank up the foaming Parbati, cross river over a bridge to left bank and arrive at Kasol.
