This trek from Mcleodganj to Chamba offers the opportunity to have a beautiful view of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar mountain ranges. A trek of moderate difficulty. The trek takes you through some dense Deodar & Rhododendron forests. Actually this is trail of Gaddi Shepherds, who take their flock from the Chamba Valley to the valleys of Lahul & Spiti.

By Air – Nearest airport – Dharamshala
By Road –
Delhi > Dharamshala > Mcleod Ganj
Reach Touchbase one day prior to the day your trek starts.
Stay is prearranged. *
Spend the day acclimatizing, Exploring or just relax. We’ll have an orientation meeting in the evening. Where you will meet with our Guide, Group leader and other members of group.
Drive next morning to the trailhead, Mcleod Ganj. Transportation is prearranged. *
Day 01
Triund (2975m)
Trek starts just a little beyond McLeod Ganj (1860m). Trail to Triund is through thick forest. Its enjoyable climb of 1km. Triund (2975m) is favorite camping destination. Experience continuous traveling cloud. It’s spellbinding sunsets and stargazes at night. No moment is a dull moment here.
Day 02
Lahesh Cave (3600m)
A 9 km trail takes us to the Lahesh Cave. The trek is through Deodar forests. We have a choice to stay in cave or tent.
Day 03
Cross Indrahaar Pass (4350m), Chatru Parao
You can expect to see great views of Dhaula Dhar to the south, Pir Panjal to the North and Mani Mahesh to the east from the pass.
Day 04
Kuarsi (2730m)
The trek will cross a few snow bridges and enter the Kuarsi Valley.
Day 05
Shangarh (1500m)
Trek descends in the valley along the Barley fields to hit the road head of Machetar.
Trek ends here.
Next day morning leave for your journey forward after breakfast.
