A small and extremely beautiful valley of Barot, which lies in Chhota Bhangal region of Himalayas, is the starting point of the trek. We call this trek adrenaline rush as you paraglide from world's second best site. Enjoy mountain biking trails around Bir. ITINERARY
Touchbase : Barot
Approach :
By Air – Nearest airport – Bhuntar
By Road –
Delhi > Mandi > Barot
Reach Touchbase one day prior to the day your trek starts.
Stay is prearranged. *
Soak yourself in the beautiful Barot valley.
Explore a few places around like Khooni Ghati or you can cut loose
your self in one of various trout fishing & angling sites in
the magnificent narrow Barot scenery. Celebrate your arrival in the
lap of Nature.
Spend the day acclimatizing, Exploring or just relax. We’ll have an orientation meeting in the evening. Where you will meet with our Guide, Group leader and other members of group.
Drive next morning to the trailhead, Jobra. Transportation is prearranged. *
Day 01
Palchak (2688m)
Palchak is a resting place for all Gaddis (shepherd men). The settlement is brought up by a thapa family, who provides delicious local food to travellers. Small streams music is always in air and uhl river is flowing nearby.
Day 02
Rajgundha (2510m)
Rajgundha is picturesque last village on shepherds trails to Chamba, Lahaul and Kullu. Surrounded by dense forest and snow capped peaks. The village is a trekkers delight. It can boast of unspoiled culture and beauty. The images and experiences will live with you lifelong. Excellent camping site.
Day 03
Biling (2364m)
Biling was made famous once paragliding started from here in 1982. It is the take off point. It has a forest guesthouse and a small temple. It also offers good camping ground. Views of Dhauladhar is mesmerizing and inviting.
Day 04
Paragliding to reach Bir (1525m)
This day is to experience one of the most thrilling adventure sports "Paragliding". Now is the time that you were waiting for all along the trek. You’ll take tandem flights with quality professional pilot to reach Bir. You definitely need one more day to cycle various trails around tea gardens of Bir and check monasteries or cottage industry of Tibetan carpets.
